Lauren Townsend: piano

Lauren Townsend began the Imaginations Music Studio because of her belief that every child is musical and that music is a catalyst for total child development.  Lauren has been teaching private music lessons and classes to children in the Birmingham area for over ten years. A graduate from Samford University with a degree in piano performance, certified in the Mayron Cole piano method and a certified Orff children's music teacher.  After college, Lauren began teaching privately in the Preparatory Music Department at Samford University. She is currently a piano teacher at a private school in the Birmingham area. Lauren has taught music classes and lessons students of all ages, some of whom have gone on to pursue music on the college level. 

Lauren currently teaches in a private studio in Inverness, and at Bruno Montessori.  She has recently composed a six volume work of piano theory activities which begins at the preschool level and continues through intermediate level.  She is also a member of the Alabama Federation of Music Clubs.   Contact Lauren at lauren@imaginationsmusic.com
